In a house-to-house raid against the illegal cattle mafia, the Kenjhar police have seized crores of cash, gold jewelery and many other valuables. Multiple teams of Keonjhar police have conducted coordinated raids at the residences of illegal cattle traders at 46 places. The raids took place in Santanapur, Kaliahata, Telkoi, Ghasipura, Turumunga and Jamujodi under Harichandanpur in Keonjhar district and Bishoi, Karanjia, Jharpokharia, Tentoposhi, Chheibhod, Kendrai and Thakurmunda districts of Mayurbhanj district and Korei and Bhadrak districts of Jajpur district. The massive campaign is led by two additional superintendents of police, includes five DSPs, 25 inspectors, 36 SIs and ASIs and is supported by 18 platoon forces. Huge amounts of cash, vehicles and other assets are expected to be seized.
