
Lanjigarh 22/02 () From which ancient Kal the tribals have been worshiping their Dharinipenu and the queen of nature forest, hills and streams. They used to believe in true worship and celebrate thirteen in twelve months. In Tarangel village under Bengaon Panchayat of Lanjigarh block, the Toki Mara festival and Meriya festival are celebrated with peace and order on Sunday, and the village of Tarangel turns into a festive mood. On this occasion, rituals were performed in all the Shakti Pithas of the village, including Dharinipenu Devi, and tribal mantras were followed. The chief worshiper and the village chief Shukru Majhi, along with Sana Majhi, Sana Majhi, and the chief worshiper, said that the sickness of the village would be removed. It is a Nihar tradition to circumambulate the Nachinachi temple fence in Bohi dance. All the youths of Tarangel village including Raju Majhi, Nabi Majhi, Prashant Majhi, Lachana Majhi, Jay Majhi, Jagannath Majhi, Ravi Majhi participated in this Meriya festival.
