Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 10.02.2026 Rikh: Local PM Shri Raja Chaitanya Dev Government Nodal High School has launched the district level National Deworming Day-2026 (February Round)! On this occasion, District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Maley Pradhan, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, DM and MD Sushant Shethpathi, ADM and MD Maley Tripathi, District Suchana and Public Relations Officer Manoj Behera were present as chief guests! ADM and Dr. Tripathi explained to all the students present the purpose of deworming day, the benefits of taking pills, prevention of deworming, anemia, cleanliness! All the guests talked about how taking the deworming pill made them physically and mentally fit, improved their reading, raised awareness, spread the word! The guests started the day by feeding the students with deworming pills! By widely using deworming syrup or pills at the group level, reducing the effects of deworming and contributing to the overall development of the person. Deworming syrup will be given! 3,28,960 children/adolescents aged 6 to 19 years will be given deworming pills! About 35,876 women between 20 and 24 years old (not pregnant or in labor) will be allowed to take deworming drugs! Consumption of this anthelmintic pill/syrup will be ensured in all 236 Anganwadi centers and 1965 public/private schools in all blocks and urban areas of the district under the direct supervision of health workers, Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, trained teachers! In the meeting, the students of RCD school, including the principal of DPMN HM Shankar, ADPAC and Ramhari Panda, employees of the health department, media representatives, teachers and students of the school were present.
