Kolabira, 6.2 (Fast News Odisha): An exemplary teacher and senior citizen of Kolabira village Jannajay Uhidar, a resident of Kolabira Zamindarpada, died on Thursday night at the age of 95. Till the last time, he was not admitted to any health center for any illness, but he was ill for a few days due to old age. In 1986, he retired as a head teacher. Before reaching the age of 100 years, Sri Ahidhar, who was a stone walker, will be upheld in the afternoon of his life. He was always very conscious of his time, energy, food, drink, and clothing. Moreover, among his contemporaries, he was the favorite and first choice among his contemporaries for his beautiful handwriting, wonderful word combinations, strong sentence structure, grammatical accuracy, and ability to say a lot in a limited voice. After retirement, he was involved with various institutions in the region and engaged in various developmental activities. It is not an exaggeration to say that he played a key role in bringing Martyr Karunakar to the limelight as he was able to present the strong history of Martyr Karunakar by setting up the Martyr Karunakar Tribute Trust in Kolab Thira and being the Trust’s guide. Two sons Belal, Kunal, daughters and grandchildren were present near the last bed. Margarat Janajai’s Marshari was destroyed in the Kolabira Telen riverside. The funeral was conducted by the eldest son, Bela Mukhagni. Landlord Bir Amarendra Pratap Singh Sushil Kumar Das, Birendra Mohapatra, Ashok Kumar Behera, Navin Chandra Naik Manoj Kumar Pradhan, the villagers paid their last respects and prayed for the peace of the bereaved soul. *Kuthu Behera, Kolabira*;- We are two elders in Kolabira. Sanghat Jannajay was just four months older than me and we had an uncle-nephew relationship. I am saddened by his death, as a senior and strong colleague, we both lived together in the old age, he successfully balanced many ups and downs in his 95 years of life, passing away at this old age is very difficult for me. His departure marked the end of an era in Kolabira. *Bir Amarendra Pratap Singh, Zamindar Kolabira;-* My father was a ally of the landlord Nirpal Singh during his tenure as his zamindari and managed the administration as well as performing his duties as a salaried teacher in the government system after the implementation of the Zamindar eviction law. The king was an active participant in the landlord regime and was a living witness to its punishment for so long. He is a symbol of Kolabira Ashmita. Janjjay Baba, who was born during the era of the colonial era, saw the black rule of the British and also tasted the independent Suryoda of modern India. I am deeply saddened to have lost a benefactor of a father and a mentor forever in his passing away.
