A district level review meeting of Odisha Livelihood Mission (OLM) and Mission Shakti in Nuapada district has been held in the headquarters conference room under the chairmanship of District Collector Madhusudan Das. In the meeting, it was revealed that the progress of the district in the field of bank linkage is satisfactory. There were a total of 5440 physical targets, while 5958 were implemented, making 109.52% progress. The financial target was Rs. 22154 lakhs, while Rs. 30369 lakhs have been implemented and 137% progress has been achieved. In the field of application sponsorship, a total of 6734 applications have been sponsored with financial support of Rs 42156 lakhs and 776 applications are pending in the bank. The total average loan size in the district is Rs 5.1 lakh. In the month of March, a total of 77 families of migrant workers have been provided financial assistance of 8 lakh 15 thousand rupees. In this, 17 families in Boden block have been given Rs 1.60 lakh, 10 families in Khariar have been given Rs 1.25 lakh, 20 families have been given Rs 2.30 lakh in Komna, 25 families have been given Rs 2.50 lakh in Nuapada and 5 families have been given Rs 50 thousand in Sinapali. A detailed review of SHG and CLF profile updates, PLD identification, Digital Livelihood Register, GPLF transactions, financial mobilization, personal venture loans, Mission Shakti Retail Mart etc. was held in the meeting. The district governor directed to further strengthen bank linkages, speedy settlement of pending applications and provide more assistance to migrant worker families. District Project Coordinator Sunil Kumar Mallik, Lead Bank Manager Harishankar Nial, Block Project Coordinator Adiharam Subar and other officials were present in the meeting.
