Malkangiri, 21/4/26: In view of the heavy summer, a big announcement has been made by the district administration about school holidays. In order to protect the health of the students from the severe fever and measles in the district, District Governor Arvind Rajshirke has ordered to close all government, government-aided and private schools for students from April 22 to 25. The directive will apply to all schools from Kindergarten to Class 12. However, the supplementary examination of the fifth and eighth classes will continue as per the schedule prescribed by OSEPA. Apart from this, any other scheduled examination conducted by BSE, CHSE, CBSE and ICSE will also be held as per earlier schedule. Principals of the educational institutions have been directed to ensure adequate drinking water, ORS and first aid facilities for the safety of the examinees during the examination. Even though schools remain closed for students, essential activities such as enrollment, administrative work and census will continue. For this, teachers and non-teaching staff have been made compulsory to be present in the school from 06:30 to 10:30 in the morning.
