Baripada: In protest against the recent women’s protection bill (Women’s Empowerment Act-2026) in the Parliament by the Congress, BJ, TMC, DMK, etc., a mass agitation women’s march has been organized here on Monday. A large number of women took part in the mass protest procession which started from the local Madhuban Madhya Pradesh and went to Chhau Madhya Pradesh. The marchers were seen holding placards with this slogan in their hands, protesting against women’s power and political parties opposing the Women’s Bill. Shobhavati Ota, Sujata Murmu, Sipra Vajpayee, Vidyaika Sanjali Murmu, Suman Singh, Kaushalya Naik, Mamata Mandal, Sarojini Kisku, Mamata Sahu Major led the grand procession while BJP District President Nihar Ranjan Modi, Minister Dr. Krishna Chandra Mohapatra, Mayurbhanj MP Navacharan Majhi, MLA Vaskar Madhei, MLA Prakash Soren, MLA Sanatan Elitika, BJP State Spokesperson Kavivishnu Shetpathi, State Tribes Morcha President Candra Soren, State Working Member Jeevan Kumar Sahu, District Special Development Council Chairman Dr. Bushan Murmu, BJP District Vice President Pradeep Mohanty, General Editor Praveen Pote were seen to be active contributors.
