Kolabira, 14.5 (Fast News Odisha): There was a heavy storm with wind for about 2 hours in the Kolabira block area of Jharsuguda district on Wednesday evening. From 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening, it rained with strong wind and thunder. Due to the wind and rain, traffic on the road was closed for two hours. It is alleged that hundreds of trees were uprooted in the area due to the wind. Four-wheeler traffic between Jharsuguda-Kuchinda has been obstructed due to trees falling on the road in the villages of Siriapali, Buchamunda, Ladhapali, Raghunathpally, Kolabira, Ladabahal, Kundurusingha, Pokharasahu, Malidihi etc. on National Highway 49. In addition, a large tree fell in front of the Kolabira Additional District Agriculture Office, disrupting traffic between Kolabira and Samasingha. In addition, it is alleged that large trees were broken on many roads in rural areas. Forest department, fire department, police and volunteers are trying to remove trees from the road and make traffic normal. Due to stormy rain, there is power outage in the entire Kolabira block area. It is alleged that trees have fallen on power lines in many places.
