The campaign against single use plastic (SUP) continues strictly under the direct supervision of Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Das. In this context, a regular inspection was carried out in Kharia road area by the cleanliness team today. During the inspection, “Gupta Tea Stall” near Khariar Road railway station did not cooperate in the inspection. Keeping in view the importance of the incident, the said shop has been sealed on the orders of Upazilapal and SDM, Nuapada Surmi Soren. District Council Additional Executive Officer Khamnidhi Bhoi, Kharia NAC Executive Officer Kamalasen Rath, Watershed Project Director Rashmi Ranjan Pan, Swachh Bharat Campaign District Coordinator Anil Kumar Lenka, police personnel and other officials were present in this campaign. The district administration has requested the general public and traders to refrain from single-use plastic and cooperate in the cleanliness drive.
