Nuapada: The open lottery process for the distribution of IMFL (IMFL “OFF”) shops for the year 2026-27 in Abkari district was successfully and peacefully completed under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Madhusudan Das today at Sadbhavna Assembly Hall. This year, a total of 280 applications were received for 9 IMFL “off” shops in the district namely Khadiyar Road-1, Khadiyar Road-2, Beltukuri, Boden, Khadiyar, Komna, Lakhna, Nuapada and Sinapali shops. Among them, maximum 106 applications were received for Nuapada shop, while 50 applications were submitted for Sinapali, 40 for Komna and 39 for Boden. The lottery process was completed in 9 phases. At the end of each phase, the names of the provisionally selected applicants for the respective shops were announced. The license will be issued to the applicants selected in the lottery after verification of application and other documents and payment of prescribed fee. Lottery results are also uploaded on e-commerce portal. All steps were taken to ensure complete transparency and impartiality of the lottery process. Strict security check (Frisking) was arranged at the entrance and only the petitioners and their authorized representatives were allowed to enter the assembly hall. First aid, ambulance and other necessary facilities were arranged for the convenience of the petitioners. In addition, the entire lottery process was video recorded to ensure transparency. District Collector Mr. Das thanked all the applicants, administrative officers and employees of the revenue department for the peaceful and orderly completion of the lottery process. Additional District Magistrate Subash Chandra Rait, Upazila Magistrate Surmi Soren, Collector of Revenue Asammitra Pradhan, SDPO Khireshwar Sahu, District Information Officer Binya Kumar Tiwari, District Information and Public Relations Officer Ramakant Viswan and other officials of the district administration and Revenue Department were present on the occasion.
