
A district level education review meeting has been held in Nuapada district headquarters conference room under the chairmanship of Nuapada district president Madhu Sudan Das. At the beginning of the meeting, the district education officer Dr. Prashant Kumar Mohanty welcomed everyone and presented information about the various programs of the Education Department and the educational progress of the district. The District Collector directed all Block Education Officers to prepare an annual schedule for various activities to be conducted throughout the year. He also asked to set up Nutri Garden in all the schools under Green School. As the schools and hostels will be opened on June 18, the District Governor ordered all the schools to complete the preliminary preparations. In view of the rainy season, he asked to take special precautions to prevent water-borne and mosquito-borne diseases. He asked to clean and purify classrooms, offices, laboratories, libraries, kitchens, canteens, toilets and other places of schools and dormitories. Likewise, removing unnecessary grass, garbage and construction materials from the campus, removing waterlogged areas, keeping water tanks and drainage systems clean and making clean drinking water available. On this occasion, the District Magistrate spoke to Lavshan Meher, a student of Odisha Model School, Badi through video call. The District Magistrate congratulated him for securing an All India Rank of 3423 in JEE Advanced-2026, the district topper with 96.60 percent marks in the CBSE combined two exams. Various Block Education Officers, Headmasters, teachers and students were present in the meeting, who discussed about his future goals and career plans and gave motivational advice for higher education.
