Baliguda: 6/06/2026 (Fast News Odisha) Odisha vigilance has launched a massive crackdown against Baikunth Nath Behera, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kandhamal ITDA, Baliguda, on the charge of embezzlement. On Saturday, a large team led by two additional SPs of Vigilance conducted simultaneous searches in Bhubaneswar, Baripada, Dharamchaya in Jajpur and Baliguda in Kandhamal. The search was conducted on the basis of the search warrant issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar while the team included 2 additional SPs, 5 DSPs, 6 inspectors and other personnel. The vigilance has searched 9 places of Mr. Behera in Bhubaneswar, including four-storey, three-storey and two-storey buildings. It also includes his father’s house, relatives’ residence, office space in Baliguda and government residence. Various properties, documents and information related to investments are checked during the search. However, the Vigilance has not released any clear information about the amount or value of the property as the investigation continues.
