Nuapada: On the occasion of International Anti-Drug Abuse and Illicit Day-2026, a traditional cultural program has been organized by the Nuapada District Administration and Department of Social Security and Disability Empowerment at the local Kalyan Mandap with the motto “Not Addiction, Want Life”. These include the cultural institute of the voice, Tanbot; Jai Bhairav Cultural Institute, Tikarapada (Pala); Mother’s Cross Discipline Team, Chandopla; Jai Ma’ Banjari Pala Dal, Gohirpadar; Ma’am Banjibahlen Ghumura team, Bishibahal and Jai Jagannath Pala team, Jagannathpali took major part in the awareness demonstration. On this occasion, District Collector Madhusudan Das called to make Nuapada a model drug free district. He said that addiction first affects livelihood, then it destroys life. Therefore, active cooperation of all is required to build a drug free society. In the program, CDMO Dr. Dwarikanath Satpathi, District Education Officer Prashant Kumar Mohanty, District Sports Officer Rajendra Prasad Makanlei, District Social Security Officer Anant Kumar Hembram, District Culture Officer Ramesh Mehra, District Information and Public Relations Officer Ramakant Viswan, students, media representatives and others were present.
