Jamda 29/3:- The Panchayatiraj Department of the Government of India has issued Dio No. M1015/103/2024-CB dated 2 November 2024 and Dio No. 9 November 2025 respectively to celebrate Tribal Glory Day on November 15th and National Pesa Day on December 24th in every Pesa village in Siddul District. According to 1016/1/2014-Pesa (853), Odisha Government Panchayatiraj and Drinking Water Department’s letter number-2409 to 7/11/24 and letter number- 2866 to 15/12/25 has instructed the Government of India to organize Pesa Gramsabha in each Pesa village but without that, one gramsabha in each village panchayat by GP Act 1964, Section 5 Mr. Thuram Deogam from the tribal Ho community and Dukhuram Murmu, a former Sarpanch Com Samit member from the Santal community, drew the attention of the MLA by writing a demand letter to the MLA of Rairangpur assembly election Mr. Jalen Naik regarding the open violation of Section 4 of the Pesa Act 1996 for Sidduld Area. The complainant expressed his opinion to our representative that Mr. Naik has promised to look into it seriously.
