
Baripada, (05/04): On the occasion of “Odiya Pakht-2026” organized by the Government of Odisha, the district-level “Historical Race” has been completed with great enthusiasm and excitement in Mayurbhanj district as part of the fifth day programme. Organized by the district sports department and the district administration, this program is organized with the aim of creating awareness among the youth about the Odisha language, culture and tradition. It is worth noting that the aim of the Ordhya Party which is being raised across the state from 1st April to 14th April is to promote and protect the Orthodox language, literature, culture, traditional food and heritage. Accordingly, programs of different themes are being organized every day and the partnership of the public with the government departments is very important. The main objective of today’s “Heritage Run” was to connect the youth with the heritage sites, culture and glorious history of Odisha and to make them aware of physical fitness. More than 165 students from various schools and educational institutions of the district participated in this race. Mr. Ishwar Chandra Naik, Additional District Magistrate of Mayurbhanj District attended as the Chief Guest and inaugurated today’s rally by showing the green flag. On this occasion, he said, “Orthodox party is not just a celebration, but it is a collective movement to improve the identity and identity of the Orthodox people.” Such a historic rally will be useful in keeping the youth connected with their native culture and inculcating national and social values in them. He further said that the language, culture and traditional way of life are being revived through the Orthodox Church and its benefits can reach the next generation. The staff of Mayurbhanj sports dormitory, physical education teacher, police department and medical team actively cooperated in the management of the program.
