The Enforcement Squad of the Supply Department raided Pal Restaurant on Khariar Road in Nuapada district on allegations of illegal use of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes. A total of 4 domestic LPG cylinders were seized from this restaurant during the raid. Nuapada ACSO (Headquarters) Ms. Purnasha Bhoi, Sadar ACSO Hrishikesh Naik and Nuapada Block Supply Inspector Ms. Subhashree Das were included in the squad and carried out the inspection. During the inspection, clear evidence of domestic LPG cylinders being used in commercial work by the restaurant owner was found. They have been seized for violating the rules and the case is under investigation. It has been said that more efforts will be made in the coming days to control such illegal activities on the part of the administration. All hotel and restaurant owners are requested to use only commercial cylinders as per rules.
