Grand welcome to President at Rairangpur: Inauguration of several public welfare projects including mega pipe water supply project, inauguration of free health camp of AIIMS at Rairangpur, President Special Circuit House, Office of New Superintendent of Police District; President’s Grand Visit to Rairangpur Rairangpur 19 June 2026 Hon’ble President Draupadi Murmu has arrived at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district on a two-day visit to Odisha. Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Haribabu Kambham Pati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi were present and extended warm welcome to the President. After arriving at his first workplace and birthplace, the President inaugurated the first free health camp organized in partnership with AIIMS, Bhubaneswar and spoke to the health workers. The President then inaugurated several important public welfare projects including mega pipe water supply project for Kusumi Block, new building of Brahmakumari Organization, Special Circuit House and new Superintendent of Police office of newly formed Rairangpur Police District. Many senior officials and public representatives including the Governor, Chief Minister and senior ministers were present during the launching ceremony of all these projects which are going to create a new chapter of development in the state. It is worth noting that the most emotional aspect of this visit is the birthday of President Draupadi Murmu tomorrow. As he spends this special day in Rairangpur, his birthplace and first workplace, there is tremendous enthusiasm among the locals. The second day of this visit, tomorrow (June 20) is going to be a memorable day in the history of Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mayurbhanj tomorrow and participate in various programs with the President. On the occasion of two years of BJP government in Odisha, the Prime Minister and the President will participate in the mega rally “Bikash ra Nadhila, Odisha Saara” organized at Rairangpur’s Jakbosh Mahal. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects worth more than Rs 47,600 crore for Odisha. It includes major projects in energy, railways, road connectivity, health and education sectors.
