Nuapada: An awareness camp on POCSO Act was held at Banjibhal National High School under Komna Block under the guidance of District Legal Services Authority in the case of D.K. Basu v. State of West Bengal in the case of DK Basu v. State of West Bengal. District Legal Services Authority Secretary Navnita Das, Additional Group Development Officer Komna Bhaktibandhu Budek, Palsipani Samiti Member Subodh Bhoi, High School Chairman Sushant Kumar Panda, PEO Palsipani Shalvi Mirdha, school teachers, students and friends of the authority were present and Hon’ble Supreme Court Judge in the case of DK Basu v. State of West Bengal was a translator and interpreter. Nalsa spoke in detail about the POCSO Act under the ‘Safe Childhood, Safe Future’ campaign under the Jaagri Yojana. On this occasion, the Secretary of the Authority Navnita Das highlighted the working style of the District Legal Services Authority and the various free legal services available to POCSO victims. After the awareness program, a plastic waste cleaning campaign was organized with local villagers and about 52 kg of plastic waste was collected.
