Baripada, (25/04): The district administration has celebrated the National Panchayatiraj Day in the premises of the local Martyr’s Memorial Building with great pomp. Mr. Prakash Soren, Baripada Sadar MLA attended the program as the chief guest and inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. District Council Chairperson Mrs. Bharti Hasda attended the ceremony as the guest of honour. Similarly, District Council Chief Development and Executive Officer Mr. Dharmananda Behera, District Council Additional Chief Development Officer Mr. Shantanu Kumar Naik, Baripada BDO Devendra Prasad Bal were present on the main stage. On this occasion, the state level ceremony was telecasted live. After the conclusion of the state level ceremony, new work orders were distributed to 10 beneficiaries of Antyodaya House Yojana in the district and incentive amount was given to 5 beneficiaries of Rural House Yojana at the ceremony. In addition, Sarpanch of Bubeiyoda village of Bishoi block as an ideal, clean and sanitary village in the Clean India Mission at the district level, 3 cleanliness and sanitation workers, Tiring Panchayat Samiti, which performed the highest in the financial year 2025-26 in the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, P. M. The Group Development Officers of Rasgobindpur and Baripada were awarded as the two highest panchayat societies in Jashipur Panchayat Samiti and Antyodaya House Yojana for completing maximum number of houses in Janaman. Apart from this, 3515 beneficiaries in Mayurbhanj district have been included in Antyodaya House Scheme. Similarly, 1st installment amount has been given to 3299 beneficiaries in the entire district at the district level. Today’s ceremony was attended by more than a thousand members of the public including Panchayatraj members of various blocks and panchayats.
