Nabarangpur: A meeting has been held under the chairmanship of President Harshikesh Sahu on behalf of Utkal Kalyan Nabarangpur Branch Education and Education Inspectors Association regarding the management of hostels under the welfare department of Nabarangpur district near Umerkot. The said meeting was attended by all the teachers, students and principals, lecturers and lecturers of the district. Principal Prashant Kumar Jena gave a welcome speech at the beginning of the meeting. Later in the meeting, there was a discussion about various problems in hostel management. All the present teachers and students expressed their indignation because the administrative and political level of the teachers were being blamed for the recent incident in Mars Department. It was discussed in the meeting that there is no official guideline that the teacher trainees should manage the hostel and he is being given the additional responsibility of managing the hostel and if any unfortunate incident happens, action is taken without proper investigation, as a result of which the teacher trainees are living in mental distress. Odisha Education and Education Inspectors Association General Secretary Vijay Kumar Rath said that if hostels are managed through mess managers in Odisha like the structure of Andhra government, teachers can help in brightening their future by paying attention to the studies of students. Ranjan Kumar Behera, editor of the state association joined the meeting as one of the guests and said that from the day the government takes this decision, all the teachers of Odisha will be freed from the management of student hostels and will devote all their attention to building the future of the children. In addition to the discussion about AI hostel management, since 2022 in Zila Mars division, teachers are getting less salary due to lack of RACP and MACP of teachers and they are losing interest due to lack of money from the government. Likewise, it was discussed that DPC should be held at specified intervals but due to non-existence of RACP and MACP, teachers have been unable to get promoted for a long time. , Department of Public Education to create post of Inspector of Education and post of Lecturer for further acceleration of education, transfer application through portal, SOP of regularized contractual teacher trainees. Implementation, payment of 2800 basic salary to sports teachers, removal of salary disparity of Hindi Sanskrit teachers, disparity in salary of different categories of teachers working in the department etc. were discussed and in this regard the district administration and the state government were requested to take appropriate steps through the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that before changing the district administration, the district administration will be requested not to transfer the teachers who have health problems and whose retirement is only two or three years away from their jobs. The meeting unanimously requested Senior Adhikar Samresh Gantayat to discharge his duties as the legal advisor of the union. In this he expressed his consent and alerted all the members present to give any order from the state government or district administration in writing in the coming days so that if any legal problem arises in the future these letters will help the union.
It was also decided that any problem of the union would be presented to the administrative officer or the political party through the legal adviser of the union Mr. Gantayat and Mr. Gantayat expressed his consent.
