The District Legal Services Authority has opened a meeting legal aid center organized by the Nuapada prison premises for those who have come to meet the inmates of the jail. District Legal Services Authority Secretary Nabanita Das, District Attorneys Association Secretary Parilal Dewangan, Authority Front Office Working Panel Advocate Santharam Sahu, Deputy Chief Legal Services Advocate Anup Sharma, Assistant Legal Services Advocate Karthik Ram Bagh, Jail Authorities, and Legal Friends of the Authority took prominent part in the inauguration ceremony. On this occasion, Secretary Navnita Das explained about the working style of the District Legal Services Authority, the Free Legal Services and Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 and the functions of the District Legal Services Authority and called upon the family and friends of the prisoner to come to the District Legal Services Authority’s Mulakat Legal Aid Center to get free legal help and advice from the working government lawyers and lawyers there. Similarly, in Khadiyal Jail, a virtual legal services center has been inaugurated by the Secretary of the Authority, Navnita Das. Khadiyaal Legal Services Committee panel lawyer Aloka Tiwari Jail Superintendent Khadiyaal and rights friends were present.
