Baripada 24/04: An induction program for new students has been completed by Center for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of Maharaja Sriramchandra Bhanjdeo University. Attending the program as the guest of honour, the acting chairman of the University Graduate Council, Prof. Pushpanjali Parida, in his speech expressed the hope that such distance education will play an important role in the overall development of students in a tribal dominated area like Mayurbhanj. Prof. Sukant Kumar Naik, Director, CDOI delivered the welcome speech and informed about the objective and approach of distance and online education and said that this installation program will give the students a proper idea about the course. He also encouraged the students to enroll in various certificate and diploma courses offered by the Centre. The faculty members of CDOI such as Dr. of Social Program Department. Sujay Kundu, Sujata Mahakud of Economics Department, Dr. Dr. Bindeswari Kalia, Department of Sanskrit. Debabrata Panda and Prithilagna Satsathi of the English Department discussed the introduction of Mahakud courses in detail. Finally, the deputy director of the center Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena gave vote of thanks. Abhipsa Patnaik, faculty member of the English department, conducted the stage. Study materials were provided to the new students in the program. All faculty members, faculty and staff of CDOI participated in the program management.
