Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): Cannabis cultivation, cannabis smuggling and drug dealing are increasing day by day in Baliguda sub-district of Kandhamal district. In view of this, under the supervision of Ramendra Prasad, SDPO, Baliguda, an anti-drug awareness procession started from the local SDPO office and went around the entire city. On this occasion, a path awareness play was also performed by the students of Odisha Model School. Today’s youth are addicted to drugs and are forgetting their future and their responsibilities towards their families. In the Baliguda region, the youth are losing their future and many tribal farming families are leaving their rice paddy and paddy fields to earn a living. Therefore, the local SDPO Ramendra Prasad expressed in his speech that an innovative effort was made in today’s awareness procession to shift from illegal cannabis cultivation to family farming.
