
Baripada 23/11 (Fast News Odisha) A 6-day National Multilingual Drama Festival has been inaugurated at the local Smriti Bhavan at Rupantan Institute Anukuliya. In the inaugural meeting held under the chairmanship of Birendra Nath Sahu, the chairman of the organization, Maharaja Prabin Chandra Bhanjdeo was the chief guest, district council president Bharti Hasda joined as the distinguished guest and said that drama is an important medium for the improvement of society. The chairman of the festival, the city mayor Krishna Inand Mohanty gave the welcome speech while the director of the organization Paresh Sahu gave vote of thanks. On the first evening, the leading theater organization of Baripadar sponsored the orthodox drama Astibdu Sahanai staged. Written by Bhaskar Chandra Mahapatra and directed by Paresh Sahu, the play stars Anup Saha, Satyanarayan Das, Sapan Panda, Madan Jena, Rabindra Behera, Dinesh Sahu, Narayan Mandal, Aloha Das, Pradeep Chowdhury and Padmini Padhi, with lighting by Cutkar Kumar Light, music by Guru Nand Kishore Das, lyrics by Rajshree Sahu, sound coordination. Shubhendu Sahu, Apavara Sahu in stage design, Sumant Art in stage design and Satyanarayan Das in co-direction. Eminent actor and director Ramachandra Das was felicitated on the first evening.
