Malkangiri, 23rd June: Development of infrastructure to provide proper opportunities in the field of sports to the local youth and tribal students in Malkangiri district is ongoing. In this regard, Malkangari District Magistrate Nagash Arvind Rajeshirke and Superintendent of Security Vinod Patil H have jointly visited the campus of Eklabya ​​Model Residential School. The District Governor visited the area and reviewed the progress of the sports project under construction there. They directed the departmental officials to complete all the works of this project within the stipulated time while maintaining high quality. Keeping in view the needs of the athletes, all the basic arrangements are being emphasized in this sports complex. Modern lighting and high-mast lights are being installed throughout the campus for regular practice in the morning and evening. Along with this, extensive ornamental trees are being planted around the playground to keep the environment clean and attractive. Necessary basic sports infrastructure is being prepared here for the students for track, outdoor ground and indoor games. As the rural and tribal children of Malkangiri have natural sports skills, this complex will provide them a designated place for regular practice and basic facilities. Having an organized ground available will make it easier for local coaches and sports teachers to teach children proper technique. By getting a suitable environment, the players here can prepare themselves well for the district and state level sports competitions. During the inspection, the Malkangari District Collector said, “There is a lot of passion for sports among the youth of Malkangari. The sports project to be constructed in the EMRS campus will provide a proper platform for our tribal students to practice. No compromise will be made on the quality of the work and it will be completed within the stipulated time frame.
