
Malkangiri, April 4: The Malkangiri district administration organized a special program today in MV-26 village and distributed government assistance to the affected families. In this program, which was organized under the instructions of District Collector Arvind Rajashirke, compensation was given to the family of deceased Lake Padhiami and hundreds of villagers. This process of disbursement of aid has created an atmosphere of peace in the local area. It is clear from this initiative that the government and the administration stand with the people during the calamity. It is expected that this financial package will play an important role in bringing the life of the affected families back to normal. Ravi Madhyam and Dev Madhyam, two children of late Lake Padhami, who lost their lives in the incident, have been given a generous financial assistance of Rs. 20 lakhs from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Money is given. A total compensation amount of 1 crore 10 lakh 59 thousand 623 rupees has been paid to the destroyed shops and houses of 240 families of the village. On this occasion, Additional District Collector Rajsab Vedbar Pradhan said that the district administration has always been a partner in the well-being of the people. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, we have done an accurate assessment of the damage and have tried to provide the relief amount immediately. This financial assistance will help the affected families to start their lives afresh. The administration has appealed to maintain peace and harmony in the region by providing assistance. The guests present at the program said, “Social unity is our greatest strength.” All the villagers have been requested to come together and cooperate for the betterment of the area. Deputy District Collector Duryodhan Bhoi, Korkunda Vidyalaya Amirya Mohapatra, Malkangiri Tehsildar Vishwaranjan Viswan and Korkunda IIC were present in the event.
