Malkangiri, 9/5/26: A high-level review meeting under Pragati was held today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Arvind Rajeshirke with the aim of accelerating overall development and public welfare work in Malkangiri district. In this important meeting, the District Collector made a detailed study of the progress of various big projects in the district and prepared a roadmap to complete it within the stipulated time. He directed the departmental officials to complete the construction of railways, which will revolutionize the economy and communication sector of the district, on a priority basis. Along with this, emphasis has been placed on expediting the process of installing mobile towers to bring digital connectivity to people living in remote and inaccessible areas. The District Magistrate expressed satisfaction with the status of public welfare works such as the under-construction high-level bridge over the river, progress of the proposed cement factory and the Govindpali irrigation project for the benefit of farmers and said that the remaining works should be completed on a war-time basis. As these projects are like a blueprint for the betterment of the people of Malkangari, various departmental officers and implementing agencies are advised to maintain better coordination with each other. District Collector Shri Rajeshirke warned the officers to pay special attention to transparency, quality and proper time management in work. In this review meeting, senior officers of the district administration and the representatives of relevant departments and implementing agencies were present and gave the reports of their respective departments.
