Malkangiri, 14/4/26: In the premises of the local cultural building, the Ordianian New Year and Maha Bishuba Sankranti have been celebrated with great enthusiasm along with the celebration of the Ordian language side. District Social Welfare Officer Gauri Naik, District Food Safety Officer Prabhas Sethi, Program Officer Indira Pradhan and CDPO Rekha Shobha were also present as the guests of honour. The main goal of observing the Ordhya language is to spread and use the mother tongue at every level. On this occasion, the Sub-District Officer said that the Ordhya language is our identity and identity. The use of mother tongue is essential to pass on our culture and traditions to the next generation. Similarly, District Food Safety Officer Mr. Sethi said, language and our food style is also an important part of culture. We can create a healthy Odisha by creating awareness about healthy food through ‘Eat Rite’ campaign. Program Officer Mrs. Pradhan emphasized on the successful implementation of the government scheme through mother tongue. On this special day, self help groups working at Ahar Center for Eat Rite program were extended as they got the mandate from the state government. Prizes were awarded to the contestants for the jhoti, pie panna and hulahuli competitions organized at the event. District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi organized the event, which was supported by the staff of District Culture Department and Social Welfare Department. Anganwadi mothers were involved in this program.
