Malkangiri, 13/4/26: Aam Ruchi Aam Food program has been organized in the premises of the local culture building. On this occasion, the mothers of self help groups prepared and demonstrated various types of traditional orthodox food. A competition was held among them and the best team was awarded. The program was inaugurated by the Additional District Administration Somnath as Chief Guest and Pradeep Prazlan presided over it. On this occasion, the Additional District Collector said that the traditional Odisha food is not only our taste, but it is the identity of our culture. In today’s modern era, such an effort to preserve our ancient food style and bring it to the world market is certainly commendable. This art of mothers will be very helpful in making them self-reliant in the coming days. District Food Security Officer Prabhas Sethi, District Social Security Officer Nirmal Dharua and Program Officer Indira Pradhan participated as judges. District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi conducted the program smoothly while Mission Shakti DPC Harshanand Pradhan was instrumental in organizing the event. Among others, Deputy CEO Swastika Pradhan and Sub-District Social Security Officer Rajeev Pujari were present. The guests opined that it is very important to focus on taste as well as hygiene and nutritional quality in food preparation. The way in which the mothers of self-help groups have prepared healthy food using indigenous know-how is admirable. DPC Mission Shakti said that Mission Shakti is our main objective to empower mothers financially and bring out the hidden talent within them. This Aam Ruchi Aam food program will go a long way in boosting their confidence. In this program, the staff of the District Culture Office, Dekshish Biswal, Sathya Viswan, Anshikrishna Padhi and the staff of the District Social Welfare Department actively supported.
