
Baripada, (13/04): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the nation on ‘Nari Shakti Bandan’ before the special session of Parliament on reservation of seats for women in the Assembly and Lok Sabha. Mr. Modi aims to pass the bill with the support of all after the introduction of Feminism Act in Parliament. A program on ‘Nari Shakti Bandan’ has been held by the Mayurbhanj district administration to convey the message to the common women and mothers through the virtual program. On the occasion of this event, a huge procession started from Maa Ambika Temple and ended at the local Martyr’s Memorial Hall. Odisha State Women Commissioner Shobna Mohanty attended as an invited guest. The program was attended by Sanjali Murmu of Bangiriposhi, Padmashri Damayanti Beshra, former woman lawyer Parvati Barik, State BJP Women’s Morcha Sampadika Sonali Mahanth, District Social Welfare Officer Mrs. Niharika Mohanty, Vijayalakshmi Mahanth as the guest of honor. Similarly, Mr. Navcharan Majhi, MP of Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha, was also present in the said program as a special invited guest. Hundreds of women came and participated in this program.
