Baripada – 12/06/2026 Deepak Kumar Beshra, a tribal filmmaker from Mayurbhanj district and director of the Baripada National Tribal Short Film Festival, will be a speaker at the 19th International Film Festival-2026 to be held in Mumbai. Mr. Beshra announced that a seminar on “Diversity in Film Festivals, Regional Cinema and Global Film Festival Environment” will be held on the occasion of Mayurbhanzia on 18th of this month. However, Mr. Beshra is an established tribal filmmaker and documentary filmmaker. His films “Papaya” and “Mohat” have won national and international awards. His role in creating a platform for modern stories, organizing film screenings and film-making workshops in schools and villages is remarkable. His participation in the Mumbai festival is a credit to the district, state and the world of Santali and tribal cinema.
